Berlusconi, 74, is said to have paid 33 women – including a teenage belly dancer – with cash and jewellery in return for sexual favours during the parties he threw at his lavish villa. It is claimed they were hired by TV news anchor Emilio Fede, 79, and showbiz agent Lele Mora, 55. The third person involved in the trial is Anglo-Italian former dental hygienist turned regional councillor Nicole Minetti, 25, and who is said to have performed provocative dances in front of Mr Berlusconi. Prosecutors said that the three created a "system to provide freely available women to prostitute themselves" to Mr Berlusconi for the parties which turned his home at Arcore near Milan "into a bordello", reports a newspaper. They said all three had specific roles with Fede, 79, and Mora, 55, being in charge of recruiting the women and making sure they were attractive enough while the "bordello itself was run by Minetti." None of the accused was present at the hearing, adjourned until next month. ANI
