London: Love rat Arnold Schwarzenegger`s mistress has opened up for the first time since their love child scandal broke.
In an interview, Schwarzenegger`s former maid Mildred Baena said that when her son came to know that the Hollywood star was his father, he exclaimed, "Cool!".
Joseph, 13, discovered his true parentage only one year ago and is now looking forward to building a relationship with the former California Governor.
Baena also spoke of the moment Schwarzenegger``s wife, Maria Shriver, realised she had been betrayed after hearing ‘whispers’ in the house about the resemblance of the boy to her husband.
The maid described collapsing to her knees and tearfully confessing to Shriver late last year. But, instead of being vengeful, Shriver told her to get up and then cried with her.
"She would say things like ``I`m here if you need to talk.`` I sensed something was up. I have so much love and respect for Maria. Finally, she asked point blank,” the Telegraph quoted Baena as telling Hello! Magazine.
"She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn`t Arnold`s fault, that it takes two,” she added.
Baena also said that the 63-year-old ‘Terminator’ star was a "good man" who would be "suffering too," and added: "He loves Maria. I hope with time they work things out."
