London: Amy Winehouse’s goddaughter Dionne Bromfield refused to let her grief get in the way of her professional duties, as she honoured a commitment to appear at a festival in Pontypridd, Wales, two hours after learning of the star’s death.
According to the BBC, Brave Bromfield made no mention of the tragedy during her 30-minute set and her courage has won her praise from Orchard Entertainment bosses, who insisted there had been “no pressure” on her to perform, reports Contactmusic. Representative Tim Powell said, “It was very, very professional. We would have perfectly understood if she hadn”t wanted to perform but she very bravely did.” Winehouse signed Bromfield to her label Lioness Records in 2009 and served as the teen’s musical mentor.
