Aamir’s son named after freedom fighter!

Actor Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao, who were blessed with a baby boy on 1st December, broke the news to the media and fans through social networking site. And now he has announced the name of his son!

Mumbai: Actor Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao who were blessed with a baby boy on 1st December, broke the news to media and fans through social networking site. And now he has announced the name of his son through the same medium. The actor has named his son ‘Azad’ after freedom fighter Maulana Azad, who also happens to be Aamir’s great grand uncle. He wrote on his FB page, “Hey guys, most excited to share with y`all a name for our baby boy... Azad. Azad Rao Khan. I left the final choice to Kiran, and she has named him after my great grand uncle Maulana Azad, the great freedom fighter, whom the family is most proud of. Azad means free or liberated. We want to thank everyone for their warm wishes and blessings, and needless to say we are absolutely overjoyed and feel most blessed. Much love. A." Now we are wondering how long will Beti B have to wait to get a name.
