Fans obsessed with Jacob not me: Taylor Lautner

Los Angeles: `Twilight` star Taylor Lautner says that fans are obsessed with his character of werewolf `Jacob` in the vampire romance and not him.

The 19-year-old actor plays the love rival of Robert Pattinson`s character Edward Cullen in the movie, The Hollywood Reporter said. "Its definitely these characters we are playing. They are in love with Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. I mean, they feel like they know them. We are just lucky enough to be playing them. But I definitely think it`s the characters," he said. For Lautner, best known for 2005`s `The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl` before `Twilight`, it has been a meteoric rise. And he credits his onscreen family for keeping him company on the ride. "It was really helpful that all of us were going through the same thing at the same time. I think if we didn`t have that sort of relationship it would have been tough. "It would have felt pretty lonely. Because when you are filming for these `Breaking Dawn` movies, we were filming for seven months and if you`re there alone the whole time even with the cast members, like on a day off, or on weekends, you`d go nuts," Lautner said. Besides the upcoming two-parter, `The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn`, Lautner stars in `Abduction`, which is set to hit the theatres on September 23 and he is in pre-production on the fantasy film `Incarceron`, due next year.
