Abhishek, Riteish `nudge` Karan Johar for chopping their roles

In a friendly nudge towards filmmaker Karan Johar, actors Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan on Monday took to Twitter to reveal how their respective roles were ‘chopped’ by Johar in two blockbusters.

"I was there in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna but Karan Johar thought I was best suited for the deleted scenes in the SPECIAL DVD edition (sic)," tweeted Riteish recalling how his original cameo in the 2006 romantic drama was done away in the finished version. Actors Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta had played the lead roles in the blockbuster. Finding a buddy in Riteish, Abhishek Bachchan narrated a similar experience of his. "haha bro. He did the same thing to me in K3G. Gotta get our revenge!!!! (sic)," Abhishek tweeted. Abhishek`s guest appearance was removed from the edited version of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Johar, the 2001 superhit casts Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. Responding to Abhishek, Riteish said, "Let`s get Karan Johar to act in `Bluffmasters Return`- n make him RAP" (sic). Riteish and Abhishek shared screen space in Rohan Sippy`s Bluffmaster.
