New Delhi: One-film old Rajeev Khandelwal has come out of his shell and will be seen in a new avatar - the actor has done away with his long locks for his next film ‘Soundtrack’.
The actor will sport a new hairstyle in the film, produced by Saregama India Ltd. Last seen in his debut ‘Aamir’, Rajeev was hesitant to snip his tresses.
"I have cut my hair short for this film specially. The character I am playing is that of a young DJ. After trying multiple looks, the director felt that short hair would best suit my character," Rajeev said.
"Since the past two years, I`ve had long hair, so I was a bit hesitant to cut my hair but after much thought I felt this was the right look for me," he added.
Apurv Nagpal, managing director of Saregama, said, "Rajeev`s character in the film needed a fresh look. He has had long hair for a while now, so this change is only welcome. This haircut and look will only enhance his character."
To be directed by Neerav Ghosh, shooting will commence from mid-November. The female lead is yet to be decided.
Rajeev`s future projects include ‘Peter Gaya Kaam Se’, ‘Return Gift’, ‘Chenab Gandhi’ and ‘Joker’.
