The CAG has picked holes in the e-auction of coal mines by the NDA government last year saying multiple bids by corporate groups through joint ventures or subsidiaries did not give an assurance that potential level of competition was achieved in the first two tranches.
According to the 7th Pay Commission, the real increase given in 1996 and 2006 in minimum pay was 31 percent and 51 percent. As compared to that, the commission recommended an increase of 14.29 percent.
In a major relief for lakhs of Central Government employees, the implementation notification of the 7th Pay Commission was issued on Tuesday, following which the employees will now get the revised pay from their August salaries.
With the publication of notification, dated July 25, 2016, around 1 crore individuals — 33 lakh central government employees, 14 lakh armed forces personnel, and 52 lakh pensioners will get the increased payout for their August salaries.
