New Delhi: A lot of speculations are doing the rounds in the tech world about the new Apple iPhone 5.

Everyone is curious about the next offer from Apple. Although nothing is clear about the phone’s specifications, features and release date, yet these are the few areas which have garnered the attention of all tech readers.

Storage and connectivity

Reports have it that Apple would be adding both LTE wireless broadband and near field communication (NFC) connectivity to the handset as well as 1GB or RAM.

Handset design

As per leaked reports in media, the Apple iPhone 5 will sport a new case design. The phone will reportedly have a metallic-alloy casing with a screen as large as 4 inch. The phone is expected to be slightly bigger than the iPhone 4S.

Handset display and camera

It has also been touted that Apple, using in-cell technology in its display panel, will integrate the touch-sensors into the LCD for the thinner iPhone. Apple could also add some new features in the camera as well as the maps. The iPhone 5 may boast of a 10 MP rear camera.

Release date

Multiple reports speculated the release date of the phone to be somewhere around September or October this year. But a mobile blog has claimed that iPhone 5 can be launched as soon as August 7.

Processor and operating system

It is also widely expected that Apple iPhone 5 will be released with iOS 6. Apple may also club it with iCloud and Facebook integration. On the processor line, we could see Apple using a quad-core processor in iPhone 5.
