HTC has finally announced the launch of the much-awaited mid-range Android phone, HTC Wildfire, in India in partnership with Reliance Communications.
The Wildfire features 3.2-inch QVGA 262k colour TFT capacitive touch screen. A 528 Mhz processor takes care of the number crunching bit. It has 348MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM that should translate into a decent performance. The phone has a relatively powerful 1300 mAh rechargeable lithium- ion battery.
The phone has a 5 megapixel colour camera with auto focus and LED flash GPS GPS/AGPS. Connectivity feature of the phone supports Bluetooth 2.1 with enhanced data rate, USB and Wi-Fi as well. Other features include support for FM radio, digital compass and a media player with a slot for expandable memory.
The 3G-enabled HTC Wildfire integrates some special features like Proximity sensor, G-sensor, Light sensor, Optical joystick, caller ID, support for phone, email, text messaging and HTML web browser. The Users can download and install various applications from the Android Market as well. HTC has tied up with Reliance communications to offer its subscribers with a free 500MB data usage every month for a period of six months for the customers who choose to upgrade to HTC Wildfire.
The phone has been priced at Rs 16,590 and you can buy it with or without a Reliance connection from a HTC reseller.
