Fujifilm launched high-end professional camera
New Delhi: Camera maker Fujifilm has launched a high-end professional camera priced at Rs 70,000.
The camera 'X-E1' is the company's second interchangeable lens camera, the company said in a statement.
"X-E1 offers 16 megapixel sensor with top-class viewfinder and a smaller body," it said.
It features the fast, high-precision processor, Fujifilm India Managing Director K Tanaka said.
The company has recently said that it would exit India's ultra low-cost (ULC) market, where models are priced below Rs 4,000, to improve revenue generation.
Following this, the company's price range will start from Rs 4,999 with AX500 and it will go up to Rs 99,999 for X-Pro1.
The company's Executive Vice President Rohit Pandit has said that on the basis of the focus on expensive cameras, Fujifilm India is expecting its revenue to grow by about 90 percent to Rs 190 crore in 2012 from about Rs 100 crore in last year.
According to estimates, the Indian digital camera market is expected to reach 35 lakh units in 2012 from about 28 lakh units in last year.
