Panasonic P51 launched in India at Rs 26,990

New Delhi: Consumer electronics maker Panasonic re-entered the smartphone business by globally launching P51 smartphone in India on Thursday.
Panasonic P51 is a dual-SIM phone that will run on a quad-core processor and has a 5-inch display. It has been priced at Rs 26,990 in India.
The Japan based company has reportedly collaborated with Delhi-based Jaina Group for marketing, distribution and customer support of the device in the country.
The smartphone will be placed in the market to compete with devices like Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One X and LG Optimus 4X HD.
Last month, the company unveiled four new durable and secure mobile computing devices ideal for mobile workers, combining highly secured data and device management.
The company has also launched the Toughpad FZ-G1, which runs on Windows 8, while its other offering Toughpad JT-B1 is a seven inch Android tablet designed for easy one handed operation, it said.
