Amazon has said that the company has sold out Kindle Fire tablet computer.
Reports are rife on the web portals that Amazon might announce two 7-inch tablets— a budget version as well as a premium version— with better screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
Reports are also doing the rounds that the new Kindle Fire may be thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
Amazon could update the rest of its Kindle line at the event.
Amazon launched the $199 tablet last November. It was the first Kindle with a color screen and the ability to run third-party applications, placing it in competition with Apple Inc.'s iPad, at half the price of the cheapest iPad.
