Jessica Simpson in talks for `X Factor`

Simpson is now in talks to don the hat of a judge the US `The X Factor`.

New York: After her stint as a successful singer and fashion designer, Jessica Simpson is now in talks to don the hat of a judge on the US talent hunt show `The X Factor`.

The 30-year-old star has confirmed that she is indeed considering joining the judging panel of Simon Cowell`s show, in an interview with Women`s Wear Weekly. LA Reid, the CEO of Def Jam Music, has already signed up for the show and Simpson is keen to join him. "They have definitely talked to me about X Factor. I think it would be a lot of fun. It`s definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley. I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people`s dreams come true," said the 31-year-old. The show is scheduled to be premiered this September on the Fox Network and will feature four judges, with Cowell and Reid already confirmed. Simpson whose fashion label is reportedly set to gross USD 1 billion had earlier denied rumours about talking to Cowell for the show. PTI
