HTC Desire V — a dual-SIM smartphone running on the latest Android OS can now be purchased from ace online retailer Flipkart for the price of Rs 21,990.
HTC’s new lineup of the Desire series now comes with a dual-SIM phone, a first from the Taiwanese manufacturer.
The Desire V is powered by Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), and carries a 4-inch WVGA screen. It’s supported by a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor. The smartphone comes with the standard HTC offering of the Sense 4.0 and Beats Audio.
The salient feature of the phone is its dual-SIM capability with dual standby. The main difference lies in its internet use. 2G can be accessed by one SIM only with GPRS support and 3G on the other SIM.
HTC Desire V is a standard mid-range Android smartphone. But what sets it apart from other phones in the same category is its dual SIM capabilities.
There are a number of dual SIM Android smartphones in the market but the Desire V is the first in the high end bracket with, of course, a high price tag. But not all dual SIM smartphones offer a 1 GHz processor along with a 4.0 inch screen coupled with the sweetest treat the Android 4.0 has to offer!
