Sydney: Owning an iPhone in India is equivalent to 22.3 percent against the country's GDP, a new study has revealed.
Comparing the handset price to the national average wealth for each person in a country, Mobile Unlocked revealed that India has the highest cost of owning Apple's flagship product against its GDP, followed close by Vietnam , where it costs 19.7 percent.
According to news.com.au, in the US the hi-end device costs around 700 dollars for a 16GB iPhone5S while in Jordan it can cost more than 1,000 dollars.
Meanwhile, the lowest cost of owning an iPhone against GDP is found in Qatar, Luxembourg and Singapore.
