New Delhi: Chinese smartphone maker Gionee's latest teaser hints at its new product launch on October 8. Speculations are rife that the company is coming up with the Elife E8 smartphone in India. 

The phone which was made official in June this year, will be launched through e-commerce sites, as the invite teaser points to.

Gionee said, “a new phone launch in the country's capital of New Delhi on October 8.”

For a quick spec recall, the Elife E8 smartphone has a 6-inch WQHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek MT6795 64-bit octa-core processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and 3500 mAh battery.

Last month Gionee said that it will invest $50 million (about Rs 330 crore) over next three years to make handsets in India, joining peers like Xiaomi and Motorola.
