Mumbai: Known for her fashion statements and elegant style sense, Priyanka Chopra is an icon for millions. But the stunner seems to have committed a fashion faux pas that is bound to cast severe doubts on her fashion expertise. Seen aping Amrita Rao, the curvy lass left mouths open, when she wore the replica of a dress that was worn by Rao on national Television just 10 days ago.
Attending a party in Mumbai, Priyanka Chopra made news for all wrong reasons when she wore gold colour dress that was flaunted by Amrita Rao. What’s worse is that the actress had absolutely no clue about the blunder she had committed.
And if this wasn’t enough, it has now emerged that two actresses had even purchased the dress from the same designer, Swapnil Shinde.
Confirming the news, Swapnil told a news daily, “Woh Priyanka wala outfit mera diya hua tha. She was very happy with it. Her stylist called me up from the party and said that Priyanka was getting a lot of compliments for that outfit. Earlier Priyanka had called me up and asked for an outfit for the party. Luckily, I had three or four outfits in gold ready. I often keep clothes for her ready. I know her well from ‘Fashion’ days.”
Admitting that the outfit worn by Amrita was also supplied by him, Swapnil said, “I didn’t even consider whether it will work for Priyanka since Amrita has worn it on a television show. Television shows and events are two different ball games.”
As for Amrita, she is gleaming with pride. Talking about Priyanka’s copy cat act, Amrita said, “Well, I guess Priyanka wasn’t aware I had worn the very same outfit on the show. Or probably she really liked the outfit so much that it didn’t bother her much whether it was exclusive or not. Priyanka looks like a diva whatever she wears.”
