Google Nexus 5, new Nexus 7 tablet now available in India

New Delhi: Google Inc’s newest version of its Android Smartphone—Google Nexus 5 and its second generation Nexus 7 tablet are now available in India. Both the devices can be bought from Google's Play store using credit card registered with the play store.

The Nexus 5 can be bought for Rs 28,999 for 16GB and Rs 32,999 for 32GB variants. The Wi-Fi version of Nexus 7 having 16GB internal stoarge comes at Rs 20,999 and Rs 23,999 for 32GB internal storage.

The Google Nexus 5 features a Snapdragon 800 processor, five-inch display with 1080p resolution, wireless charging, 8MP rear-facing camera and 1.3MP front-facing camera. It weighs about 4.6 ounces. Google claims the battery lasts 8.5 hours on Wi-Fi, 7 hours on LTE.

The new Nexus 7 has more powerful and better graphics processor. The device is almost as twice as fast that packs Qualcomm's 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.

The new Nexus 7 will also be the first device to get the 4.3 version of its Android software. It boasts a higher-definition 17.5-centimetre display screen promising a retina-quality display, higher pixel density (323 pixels per inch vis-à-vis 216 on the old model).

The device sports a 5-megapixel rear camera though it is being widely said that the camera is not certainly the best in range.
