Roman Polanski edits `The Ghost Writer` in jail

Roman Polanski has completed editing work on his new film ‘The Ghost Writer’ in jail.

London: Scandal-hit director Roman Polanski has completed editing work on his new film ‘The Ghost Writer’ in jail, reveals the film`s lead actor Pierce Brosnan.
The 76-year-old Oscar winner was arrested and detained on a 32-year-old sex crime charge last year before work on the new film had been completed. He, however, made arrangements to complete the film behind bars. "He would be in his nine-foot by four-foot cell, edit the movie and give it to the warden. The warden would give it to his lawyer (who would) then give it to the editor," a website quoted Brosnan as saying. Ewan McGregor said: "I think he had no other option." Polanski is currently fighting extradition to the US where he faces sentencing for a 1978 charge of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. IANS
