Review: ‘Ramaa the Saviour’ fails to impress the kids

‘Ramaa the Saviour’ which is basically meant for the kids, miserably fails to impress its target viewers. The story is about the victory of good over the evil. Ramaa, played by Sahil Khan is the saviour while Kali (WWE wrestler the Great Khali) plays the antagonist in the film. The story revolves round six children and their guardian Raama, who strive to succeed over evil Kali. Kali, who has malicious intent, has an accomplice in the form of Samara, played by Tanushree Dutta. Considering the fact that fantasy films are a rarity in India, the film does deserve applause for its original storyline. Good that the theme is not an unofficial remake of a Hollywood fantasy block buster, but overall, the film lacks appeal. ‘Ramaa the Saviour’ scores brownie points through its decent opening sequence, its sound track and the panoramic location. What is worth appreciation is to extract performances out of kids. However, there were certain scenes when the kids deliver uninteresting dialogues. The script too is quite flimsy. The film has a number of flaws. It isn’t a classic fairytale story. The script has its limitations and the characters do not evolve much as the film progresses. Over all, the story does not have any factor that can help the film garner any Box Office success. Ratings: Just one cheer to this one!
