New Delhi: ‘Curved’ is the new buzz word in the Smartphone market and not mobile company wants to be left behind.
Joining the league, LG on Wednesday announced its new curved-screen Smartphone G Flex in India, the first of such curved handset to be unveiled in the country.
The LG G Flex Smartphone comes with a 6-inch curved plastic OLED screen and is likely to go on sale in India sometime in January or February 2014. The phone is being priced between Rs 60,000 and Rs 65,000.
The curved-screen Smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a quar-core 2.26GHz Snapdradon 800 processor. It also features a 13MP rear camera that supports full HD recording and a 2.1MP front camera.
"The curve of phone is built at 700 mm radius which is in sync with the hand movement of human body. The screen can bear load up to 40 kilogram," LG India's marketing head Amit Gujral said while unveiling the phone in the country.
Speaking on the curved screen, Gujral said the design brings the mouthpiece closer to the user and thus a clearer mic sound.
"G Flex user will be able to do multitasking on this phone. It has option to support double window, be it reading watching video on window and simultaneously chatting on other," he said.
