My accent in `Titanic` was bad, says Kate Winslet

London: Kate Winslet says that watching her 1997 hit ‘Titanic’ is a “profoundly weird experience” and she finds it hard not to pick holes in her acting.
The actress delighted onlookers at the premiere of ‘Titanic 3D’ in Royal Albert Hall in London. She had slipped on a full-length black gown with plunging neckline and silver embellished cap sleeves for the occasion. The Jenny Packham gown featured bejewelled details on the front, leading the eye to her mini waist and highlighting the drop diamond earrings, retro waved up hairdo and her Hollywood red lips. She completed the look with vintage jewels by Charles Goode and Son, London. Dress designer Jenny Packham is a well-publicised favourite of another famous Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge. Winslet likened watching the movie to “a home video”. “It’s like saying ‘We’re going to show three and a half years of your life, live to the Albert Hall!” the Mirror quoted her as saying. “My American accent was bad!” she said. Although her co-star in the film, Leonardo DiCaprio, couldn’t make it to the premiere, she revealed that the actor, who she calls “little lovekin”, meant a lot to her. “Leo is a very big part of my life. I’m very fortunate to find that friendship with the film hit it off right away,” she said. ANI
