London: Michael Jackson’s kids sobbed saying that they didn’t want to be orphans when they were told that their dad had died in hospital, Dr Conrad Murray revealed in a taped interview with cops, which was played in a court during his trial.
Paris, Prince and Blanket begged medical staff to let them see him minutes after efforts to resuscitate the singer had failed. They then held a vigil by his body. “The children cried and cried and cried. Paris said she didn’t want to be an orphan. It was really sad. We told her we would take care of her,” the Sun quoted Murray as saying. The doctor said he told Paris, who was 11 at the time, that he had tried his best to save her father, but she was inconsolable. He recalled: “She said, I’m really sad. When I wake up in the morning I won’t be able to see my dad’.” The kids “wanted to see their father,” so Murray consulted with a psychologist. “I asked a psychologist, ‘Do you think it’s a good idea?’ Someone said, ‘Yes, it should bring closure,’” Murray said, they then spent a “long time” with their dad.” ANI
