New Delhi: Micromax, that entered the budget tablet space this April with the Funbook, expanded its range further by launching the Funbook Pro.

Funbook with its attractive price range and urban youth-meant content combined with the theme of education and entertainment has received a lot of applause from buyers.

Let’s have a look at the five aspects of its enhanced version— the Funbook Pro.

Performance: The tab includes Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich, Cortex A8 1.2Ghz single core processor, 1GB RAM, dual Mali 400 GPU and 8GB internal memory that can be expanded using a microSD card. But this can well be compared with the Karbonn Smarttab 1 which is also powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean Platform) and has 1.2GHz processor.

Display and camera: The new tablet has a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. It also has a front VGA camera for video chats, HDMI output and USB on-the-go support for connecting USB drives and USB 3G dongles. The camera and display range is better than HCL Me Tablet U1 which has a 7-inch display that boasts of a resolution of 480x800. The front also has the 0.3MP camera.

Design: It is a sleek tab and comes with an easy handle. Online shopping portal Snapdeal is offering the Micromax Funbook Pro in Slate Grey color and has clubbed Tata Docomo+ data card for free.

Miscellaneous: Edutainment being its theme, the Micromax Funbook Pro offers study material from primary classes to graduate level. This can be termed as the USP of the tablet too. The tab aims caters to both the needs of the youth—education and entertainment. It also offers apps like Facebook, twitter that lets you be in touch with friends 24*7.

Price: On the price range, the tab is bit more priced than its predecessor Funbook. But if you are looking at sub Rs 10,000 level tablet with a USP, Micromax Funbook Pro could be a nice choice. Other tabs in the range are Karbonn Smart Tab 1 priced at Rs 6,990, Zync Z-990 plus priced at Rs 6490 or the HCL ME Tablet U1, priced at Rs 7,999.

Funbook Pro not that much newer than the earlier Fun book (Chinese Tab), which have lots of complains about sudden hangup and fail to Start up Many repairing centres also state that Funbook pro has manufacture defect There is also charging problem also that it it charge 75% it shut down Now the Question is will it repeat with the new FUNBOOK pro How will be the battery responds time for using-Yumnam Venubrata -Imphal

the biggest mistake i did was to buy funbook for my 3 yrs old g dgter useless waste of money and time since the time [266] i bought the tab i have been having problem with software and had to give it for service got it back after 5 days and was told to format every 15 days hardly the child can use the tab again problem had to take it back to service and now battery and software needs replacement time taken 15 t0 20 days any assurance not happen again big NO TWICE when i was there about 7 to 8 customer with their funbook with problem pl understand i am senior citizen and i have to travel from res to dader my child is diprive and i have became a joke in my family a sick man request to future buyer pl pl buy a branded but not funbook u will reget that u have spent ur hard earn money if they any shame they will get in touch 0n 9870166985 i hav done my duty rest is on u-mansur ali -mumbai
