New Delhi: Nokia has teased its forthcoming event to be Nokia World, Abu Dhabi on October 22, after delaying the launch of a large-screen "phablet" device, originally planned for late September.
Posting multiple tweets on twitter, Nokia has fuelled speculation about the launch of its phablet device, dubbed Lumia 1520.
Nokia tweets, "At #Nokia, we believe in technology that grows in leaps and bounds. Discover more on October 22 #innovationreinvented".
Nokia had planned to announce new devices including a phablet, a smartphone with a screen larger than 5 inches, to revamp its lineup of Lumia smartphones which use Microsoft's Windows Phone software.
But it delayed the launch following a deal to sell its handset business and license patents to Microsoft.
Market leader Samsung has led the way in phablets, proving wrong early critics who said they were too clunky. Apple has become the top seller of tablet devices.
