Nokia Lumia 920 Windows phone 8 is finally out!

New Delhi: Finnish telecom giant Nokia on Wednesday unveiled its smartphone, Nokia Lumia 920, equipped with US software giant Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system at a joint event in New York.

According to report, Nokia Lumia 920 Windows 8 phone features wireless charging and a "PureView" 8 MP camera which is said offered better video and still images than rival smartphones.

Bigger in size than its predecessor, Lumia 900, the Lumia 920 also comes in a variety of colours such including yellow and red.

Earlier, pictures, apparently showing the new Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 handsets, were released on Twitter on an account called @evleaks.

As per reports, some of the main features are stated below:

Processor: Snapdragon S4 processor

Display WXGA model 4.5-inch screen offers better-than-720p HD resolution that the company claims it's the "brightest" and "fastest" smartphone screen on the market.

Charging: Wireless

Camera: ‘PureView’ 8 MP camera with "floating lens technology” that can capture up to 10 times the amount of light than other handsets.

Nokia map: City Lens, an augmented reality app that gives info about nearby restaurants and other points of interest over live footage of the surrounding area captured by the device's camera.

Music player Nokia demoed NFC as a solution for easy music playback with NFC-compatible speakers: just tap the phone to the speakers and wireless music playback is enabled without the need to key in a passcode

Colour Yellow, Red, and Gray schemes
