Nokia X Android phone launched; priced at $122

Nokia on Monday introduced a new low-end Nokia X smartphone, with Google's Android mobile operating system, at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona.

Nokia on Monday introduced a new low-end Nokia X smartphone, with Google's Android mobile operating system, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The low end, inexpensive phone will include a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4-inch WVGA screen, 512MB of memory, 4GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.

The Nokia X phone has been priced at 89 euros (USD 122), excluding carrier subsidies and taxes.

Nokia has also released two other Android-powered devices, the Nokia X+, and the XL.

Alongside the new Android-based phones, Nokia has presented two other inexpensive handsets, the Asha 230 and Nokia 220.
