Only Apple can make iPad Air, MacBook Pro: Tim Cook

New Delhi: Apple Inc on Tuesday unveiled the much awaited iPad dubbed as the ‘iPad Air’ along with MacBook Pro, an iPad Mini with Retina Display besides other products at its event held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

Taking the stage during the event, Apple CEO Tim Cook informed the audience that they were going to see some really amazing products which only the company could make and not others.

We are going to see "some amazing products" and it could "only" have been made by Apple, Cook said.

During the event, Apple launched its much anticipated iPad dubbed the ‘iPad Air’ besides MacBook Pro, an updated version of iPad Mini with Retina Display.

The iPad Air is 9.7-inch with a Retina Display is 20 percent thinner than the iPad 2, weighs just 1 pound, down from 1.9 lbs.

It has A7 chip inside and is 72x faster than the original iPad in GPU performance.

With such features, Apple surely boosts of one of the best features in the iPad and tablet world.

Cook also took a jab at its rival Microsoft and said the Bill Gates company was confused.

"They're confused...they chased after netbooks. They tried to make tablets into PCs and PCs into tablets", Cook says, taking a jab at Microsoft.
