Oppo R9, R9 Plus smartphones with 16MP selfie cameras launched

New Delhi: Oppo on Thursday launched the camera-centric smartphones, R9 and R9 Plus in China. Both the handsets don a huge 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie, the first in its kind.

With special emphasis on camera, the smartphones also come with a 13-megapixel rear camera.

Besides, the 16MP front-facing cameras for selfie comes with a 78.1-degree wide-angle lens and an f/2.0 aperture.

As for features, the Oppo R9 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core processor clubbed with 4GB RAM.

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, the R9 is supported by 2,850 mAh battery and 32GB storage which can be expanded upto 128GB using microSD card.

On the other hand, the Oppo R9 Plus features a 6-inch AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution.

It is powered by octa-core processor clubbed with 4GB RAM, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is supported 4,120 mAh battery and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 128GB using microSD card.
