New Delhi: Samsung Electronics has launched its highly-anticipated smartphone- The Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
The Galaxy S5, which will be available in April, has a slightly bigger screen than its predecessor, at 5.1 inches compared with 5 inches, improved camera technology and better protection against water and dust, the company has said.

-The smartphone has fingerprint scanner. The home button doubles up as a fingerprint reader to unlock the device or to secure documents.
-It has a built-in heart rate sensor that gives a heart rate reading when the user touches it with his or her fingertip.
-The smartphone is water and dust-proof, and has a leathery feel on the back.
-The smartphone features a full high definition Super AMOLED 5.1-inch screen with 1920x1080 pixel full HD resolution.
-It has 430ppi pixel density.
-Though the processor of the phone has not been made specific, it is being heard that the Galaxy S5 has quad-core chip clocked at 2.5GHz with 2GB of RAM.
-It packs a 16-megapixel camera. It can capture 4K Ultra HD video.
-The phone has an extreme battery-saving mode that turns the display black-and-white and retains just six key applications.
