New Delhi: South Korean giant Samsung has globally launched its Galaxy Tab S2 tablet and it will be available in two sizes, 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch display. The Galaxy Tab S2 will go on sale starting August.
Samsung calls Tab S2 its ‘thinnest and lightest’ tablet in that size. Each Tab S2 is only 5.6 mm thick and features similar metal frame design lines to Samsung’s latest smartphones.
Both tablets have AMOLED screens, and the bigger one has a resolution of 2048×1536. It has quad-core processors up to 1.9GHz and storage up to 64GB internal, plus microSD slots for more.
The larger tablet weighs 389 grams, while the smaller one comes at 265 grams.
It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and features an 8 megapixel rear camera combined with a 2.1 megapixel front snapper.
The Samsung Tab S2 comes with a fingerprint sensor and both sizes have WiFi and LTE options. The 9.7-inch model tablet is powered by a 5,870mAh battery, while a 8.0-inch model draws its juice from a 4,000mAh battery.
