Sony Xperia S gets Ice Cream Sandwich update

New Delhi: Sony Mobile Communications has released the upgrade for Xperia S with the much awaited Ice Cream Sandwich.

Google's latest mobile operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, can be updated through the web, PC Companion or Bridge for Mac.

The updated allows variety of features such as resizable widgets, better control of your mobile data consumption, and a recent apps button to speed up the launching of frequently used apps.

Along with the update Sony is also providing three new media applications viz Walkman, Album, and Movies.

Sony Xperia S handset was launched in the Indian market at a price of Rs 32,549, along with three other devices on the last week of April this year.

To introduce Xperia smartphones, Sony had launched one of its largest brand and marketing campaigns in India called 'Made of Imagination'.

The flagship smartphone Xperia S has a 4.3-inch scratch resistant TFT touchscreen, along with 12.1 mega pixel camera and 1.5GHz Qualcomm dual core processor.
