New Delhi: Expanding its Xperia range of gadgets, Sony India launched the Xperia Tablet Z last week at Rs 46,990.
The tablet will be available across all Sony centres and major electronic stores across India.

The performance of the tablet will not disappoint you. With a powerful snapdragon processor, Sony Xperia Tablet Z boasts of delivering phenomenal performance. The tablet Snapdragon S4 pro 1.5 GHz Quadcore A15 processor and uses the next generation Krait Technology. As per the company it is the first tablet to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro asynchronous quad-core processor. The tablet runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is upgradable to 4.2.Display
The tablet sports a 10.1 inch 1920X1200p WUXGA display with a mobile Bravia Engine 2. Xperia Tablet Z is dust and water-resistant tablet. “Provided that all ports and covers are firmly closed, the phone is (i) protected against low pressure jets of water from all practicable directions in compliance with IP 55; and/or (ii) can be kept under 1 metre of freshwater for up to 30 minutes in compliance with IP 57,” the company’s website reads.Miscellaneous
The tablet has a 2GB RAM, Flash memory of up to 16 GB expandable 64 GB using microSD card. The connectivity of the phone is also remarkable. It comes with NFC, Screen Mirroring, MHL, IR Remote, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth v4.0 connectivity. The tablet has Android, Google Chrome pre-installed browser.
