New Delhi: Mobile messaging service WhatsApp might soon bring a new version to its messaging app--WhatsApp plus, as per news reports.

However, it is not yet clear whether the new version will be an addition to the existing messaging app or it will be an all new App.

Reports said that the WhatsApp plus will have interesting features for the users. It will have new set of emoticons and pre-made new theme. Users will have the option to choose from large number of themes.

Another interesting feature that it will have is file sharing facility. Currently the users cannot share long files.

There is no news on whether the app will be free or paid. Meanwhile some reports say that existing users will be able to download the app once it is out in market.

In its latest feature addition that the messaging had come up last year, it recieved mixed response from gadget enthusiasts. Whatsapp offered new " double blue tick" feature allowing users to know when their texts have been delivered and read.

While some users loved the feature, others criticised the feature as infringement on privacy.

Earlier, WhatsApp India business head Neeraj Arora had said, "The founders wanted to develop a cool product which will be used by millions and did not have business things like valuations".

WhatsApp's user base? recently touched 700 million people every month, up from 600 million in August last year.

This information was conveyed through a Facebook post by the company's CEO Jan Koum who wrote that users are sending 30 billion messages per day.
