Google to take on rivals with X Phone, X tablet: Report
New Delhi: Aiming to take over the handset and tablet market, internet search giant Google Inc is reportedly working with Motorola on making a handset as well as a tablet, as per a news wire.
The wire further said that the handset codenamed "X-phone" will compete with rivals like Apple Inc and Samsung Electronics and will be out in market by next year.
Following the launch of the handset, Motorola is also expected to work on an "X" tablet. As per further reports Google Chief Executive Larry Page has promised a significant marketing budget for the unit.
Google acquired Motorola in May for USD12.5 billion to bolster its patent portfolio as its Android mobile operating system.
