Channing Tatum says he is ‘not the best actor’

New York: Channing Tatum has admitted that he is not the best actor, though he does hope that the characters that he portrays have improved over the years.
In the latest issue of ‘Details,’ Tatum has explained that this is exactly why he’s taken on often-maligned roles — to learn more about acting, as he had never been to an acting school. “You gotta do the ‘Dear Johns.’ You gotta do ‘The Vow’ … I’m conscious about why I did those parts,” a leading daily quoted him as saying. “I wanted to learn from Rachel McAdams on ‘The Vow.’ I wanted to learn from Lasse Hallström on ‘Dear John’ — he did ‘The Cider House Rules’ and ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.’ I didn’t go to acting school, so my knowledge of story, filmmaking, and character comes from just being on set and doing it. I know I’m not the best actor. But I hope my characters are getting better,” he added. ANI
