John gives out his personal number to promote new film

New Delhi: John Abraham fans, here`s your chance to talk to the hunky star. In a bid to promote his latest outing `Jhootha Hi Sahi`, the actor has given out his personal number so anybody can call him.

Borrowing the concept from the Abbas Tyrewala-directed film, where his onscreen character falls in love with a girl through phone conversations, the 37-year-old actor has come up with this strategy to connect with his fans. Beginning tonight, John will be available to everybody on the number 9892155509 for the next two weeks. "I wanted to get on the line with people, hear them out. So I felt this was the best way to do so," said John. The `Dostana` star is not perturbed by the fact that this easy access could bring in unwarranted opinions and comments as well. "From the background I come, criticism is a catalyst to growth. It is important and I harbour no hard or negative feelings if I`m criticised, because I understand there`s a reason for it," said John. Releasing on October 15, `Jhootha Hi Sahi` has the actor playing counsellor to co-star Pakhi, who accidentally gets connected to John while trying to call a love helpline number. PTI
