Carlos Tevez catwalks for cancer

London: Manchester City ace Carlos Tevez along with his other teammates did a catwalk to help raise 200,000 pounds for a cancer charity. Manchester City footballers took part in Fashion Kicks, planned by the club’s goalkeeper, Shay Given and his wife, Jane.
Given’s mother died of cancer when he was five years old, which inspired the footballer to organise the gala event on Tuesday, The Telegraph reports. Millionaire footballers splashed their cash on a Harley Davidson, bought by Craig Bellamy for 18,000 pounds, and an 8,000 pounds Rolex, bought by Kolo Toure, while Dutch midfielder Nigel De Jong bought a 3,250 pounds parka worn by Oasis star Liam Gallagher. The evening saw the players strolling down the runway at Lancashire County Cricket Club in a fashion show funded by Selfridges. “This is the fourth Fashion Kicks we have held - we have been doing it now for six years. This is the first one we have held in Manchester and it has taken a year of planning. “A lot of blood, sweat and tears goes into a night like this but it is all worth it to raise the money,” Given said. All proceeds from the lavish event are going to Macmillan Cancer Support and local cancer charities, The Telegraph reports. ANI
