Katona’s ‘I am a celebrity’ attempt fails

London: Kerry Katona’s attempt to participate in ‘I’m A Celebrity’ with her mom has failed miserably.

The mum-of-four was left red-faced after just 26 people joined her desperate crusade. Fans set up a Facebook group calling for the former jungle show winner to team up with her mum Sue to go Down Under again. Her attempted skid was brought to a halt when she received hardly any response, despite a plug on her own Facebook page. “They would be a scream on it,” The Daily Star quoted one fan, Nikki Sinnott, as saying on the page. “They’d win it hands down,” said another fan, Allison Twist. If it had worked, the chance to return to the show would have brought Katona back in the spotlight, and mom Sue would have been a celebrity. “After seeing how little interest there is in this campaign producers are not going to touch them with a barge pole,” said a source.
