Mumbai: Central transmission utility Power Grid Corp Friday said its board has approved an investment of Rs 182.80 crore for a project in Tamil Nadu.
The investment would be made for "Common Transmission Scheme associated with ISGS Projects in Nagapattinam/Cuddalore area of Tamil Nadu - Part-A1 (a)", the company said in a regulatory filing.
The commissioning schedule for the project is 21 months from the date of investment approval.
Power Grid's board during their meeting yesterday had approved the proposal.
Last month, the company's board had given green signal for investments worth Rs 252.31 crore in two transmission projects.
As on November 30, Power Grid was operating about 96.303 circuit kilometres of transmission lines. One circuit km refers to one km of electrical transmission line.
Shares of the company today closed flat at Rs 114.90 on the BSE.
