MJ was facing financial ruin, says his doctor’s lawyer

A defense lawyer for Michael Jackson`s doctor, Conrad Murray, has alleged that the singer’s anguish over his deteriorating finances led to his death.

London: A defense lawyer for Michael Jackson`s doctor, Conrad Murray, has alleged that the singer’s anguish over his deteriorating finances led to his death.
Attorney Edward Chernoff has said that Jackson was facing financial ruin when he agreed to do his ‘This Is It’ concert tour, and his fear of failure spurred by insomnia drove him to take desperate measures that killed him, reports the Scotsman. The statements by Chernoff during a pre-trial hearing has brought a new twist to the case being built by lawyers for Murray, who has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in Jackson`s death.
