Brit school offers free curries to slash bunking!

A school has been offering free curry to make sure their children don`t bunk.

London: A school in Southampton, UK, has been offering parents free curry to make sure their children do not bunk their classes.Chiefs at Glenfield Infant School came up with the scheme after attendance figures took a tumble below Ofsted standards.
Officials managed to cut down truancy by more than half after parents were offered the chance to bag 40 pounds to spend on spicy treats if their kids have an attendance rate of 95 per cent or better. The winner was selected from a draw each month. “We are delighted with the way it`s going. If we make a difference to one child it`s good news,” The Sun quoted Head Joanne Dorricott as saying. But some teaching unions have slammed the system, tagging it as "bribery". Ron Clooney of teaching union NASUWT said: "A parent who doesn`t send their child to school should get a prison term. It`s bordering on lunacy." ANI
