Mumbai: UltraTech Cement, a division of the Aditya Birla Group, Monday reported an increase of 3.4 percent in its despatches for August at 30.6 lakh tonne over the same month last year.
In August, the company also registered a growth of 2.3 percent in cement production at 30.2 lakh tonne compared to the corresponding period last year, the company said in a statement issued here.
UltraTech's despatches during the April-August period stood at 158.6 lakh tonne, as against 157.6 lakh tonne during the same period last year.
During April-August period, its production stood at 158.3 lakh tonne, as against 158.1 lakh tonne.
