Aishwarya crushes Sonam’s Cannes red carpet dreams!

Aishwarya Rai seems to have found the right way of getting back at Sonam Kapoor, who had recently made remarks about Ash’s age. The Bachchan beauty has now put her foot down to make sure that the much younger starlet Sonam Kapoor can’t walk the red carpet at Cannes, as the face of ‘L’Oreal’, which the two endorse. According to reports, Ash doesn’t want to share the attention with anyone.

Cannes, May 16: Aishwarya Rai seems to have found the right way of getting back at Sonam Kapoor, who had recently made remarks about Ash’s age. The Bachchan beauty has now put her foot down to make sure that the much younger starlet Sonam Kapoor can’t walk the red carpet at Cannes, as the face of ‘L’Oreal’, which the two endorse.According to reports, while Ash is basking in the glory of her ever growing popularity at Cannes year after year, she doesn’t want to share the attention with anyone. Sonam Kapoor, who was recently added to the list of ambassadors of ‘L’Oreal’, was promised an opportunity to walk the red carpet by the company. She was apparently told that she would do the honours in the company of the ‘L’Oreal’ dream team comprising of Aishwarya, Eva Longoria and Michelle Yeoh. However, when Ash found out about the same, she went berserk and was adamant about not sharing the limelight with Sonam! It is believed that Aishwarya reacted in this manner because her deal with the company is clear (Ash is the International face, while Sonam is the Indian face). Since Aishwarya was stern on her stand, the company had no option but to inform Sonam that she would no longer be walking the red carpet at Cannes during the premiere of Pedro Almodovar`s latest film ‘Broken Embraces’ along with Penelope Cruz, another ambassador for the brand.
