London: Kate Middleton is on her way to becoming a Royal soon and you could say that she just passed her first test.Middleton and Prince William carried out one of the most traditional of tasks by launching a new RNLI lifeboat on Angelsey, belting out the Welsh national anthem fluently in front of an impressed crowd.
Around 1,000 onlookers descended on the seaside village of Trearddur Bay to catch their first glimpse of the Prince`s bride-to-be on her first official walkabout. The to-be Royal looked self assured and confident as she poured champagne over the boat, mingled with the crowds and sang the Welsh national anthem, Hen Wlad fy NhaDau (Land of my Fathers) flawlessly. The couple were greeted with a chorus of loud cheers as they arrived at the RNLI station shortly before 2pm. "My family are proud of our long association with the RNLI,” the Telegraph quoted Prince William as saying. "The Queen is its patron today and the Duke of Kent its president. And it gives me huge pleasure to be introducing to this relationship, here and now, someone who is not only about to join the family but is also about to become an Anglesonian." Middleton then held a bottle of champagne aloft before pouring it over the bow of the Atlantic 85 Hereford Endeavour lifeboat. She expressed her surprise at the turnout, saying, "So many people, I can`t believe it, it`s incredible." ANI
