London: Singer Joss Stone has admitted that she has never been prouder to be English than when she attended royal pal Prince William’s wedding in April.
The soul singer was among the guests at Westminster Abbey who looked on as the heir to the British throne wed long-time love Kate Middleton. She admitted that she was overcome with emotion on the big day. “It was lovely. I just went to the church and it was the most amazing wedding I’ve ever been to,” Contact music quoted her as saying. “When those things happen, I’m like, ‘I’m so glad I’m English’,” she stated. Stone has yet to meet the Duchess of Cambridge, but she’s convinced she’ll like her, because she enjoys the prince and his brother Harry’s company so much. “They’re such lovely people... They are really funny and they make me laugh,” the singer added. ANI
