Mumbai: The set was decorated with mirrors and flowers for couture designer Pallavi Jaikishan who narrated five different tales during her show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here late Tuesday.
"The show was divided into five segments, each narrating a different tale. It talked about various facets of a bride and how she would like to feel differently on her wedding day depending on her mood," Jaikishan said after the show. The show began with models wearing opulent evening dresses in golden brocades and antique gold laces that looked sensuous. Then in the next stage, the focus was shifted to antique minakari jewellery where there was use of fine embroidery on fabrics like georgettes and brocades. Then came a range for the flirty and naughty bride that had lehengas with pre-draped dupattas in fabrics like net, satin and velvet. Champagne gold, apricots and peaches dominated the colour palette. The last two lines had bright colours and delicate embroidery with several flower motifs - a signature of Jaikishan. IANS
