New Delhi: Frequent flyers harassed by steep air fares on domestic airlines have some good news! As per the data compiled by travel portal MakeMyTrip.com, air fares in India seem to be following a trend wherein one can avail the cheapest fare in the middle of the week- when the demand is at the lowest, and face steepest fares during the weekends-the peak demand period.
Passengers who flew in the middle of the week, specifically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the period between March to July, paid the least for their tickets, as per MakeMyTrip.com data compiled. See chart below:
|July 16||June 16||May 16||April 16||March 16|
The trend in airfares emerging in Indian domestic airlines, is already seen as a set pattern in air fares globally.
