Jamie Foxx to star in Quentin Tarantino`s next

London: Jamie Foxx is all set to play the lead in Quentin Tarantino`s new film `Django Unchained`, a slavery drama set in Mississippi during the civil war.

The multistarrer also boasts of names like Leonardo DiCaprio, `Inglourious Basterds` star Christoph Waltz and Tarantino regular Samuel L Jackson. The 43-year-old Foxx will take on the titular character in the film, a website reported. Set in Mississippi during slavery, the film tells the story of slave Django, who`s liberated by a German dentist- turned-bounty hunter (Waltz) and taught the tricks of the trade by his mentor. Jackson is to play the role of Stephen, Candie`s valet who keeps the slaves in line at Candie`s residence. PTI
